LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JULY 5-11

The Library is Closed today, July 5. It will reopen at its usual time on Tuesday, July 6.

ADULT SERVICES:
The Morning Book Group will meet on Tuesday, July 6, at 10:30 a.m., to discussThe Hidden Man by David Ellis--a grieving mid-western attorney becomes involved in the 30-year-old disappearance of a little girl and the more recent murder of the man long suspected of being her kidnapper. On Wednesday, July 7, the film Invictus, starring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, will be shown at 7 p.m. Nelson Mandela and the South African rugby team unite the country during the 1995 World Cup. No registration is needed. Rated PG-13.

Join Chef Lou Buchenot on Thursday, July 8, at 7 p.m., and learn some delicious tricks and easy recipes for Planning a Summer Picnic. Register online.

It's time once again for Got Game! Night. Patrons ages 12 and up are welcome to play--alone or in teams--a variety of Wii, Playstation, and PC games afterhours on Friday, July 9, from 7-10 p.m. Children younger than 17 need written parental permission. Register online.

All ages are invited to a concert--hopefully outside, weather depending--by the classic-rock/blues group The Chauffeurs on Sunday, July 11, from 2-3 p.m., playing songs from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Refreshments will be available. Bring your own lawn chairs. No registration needed.

YOUTH SERVICES:
Storytimes and the Summer Reading Program continue this week. The weekly craft program this week is Luau and Craft on Thursday, July 8. There are still openings for the 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Register online.
