ADULT SERVICES:
At 7 p.m. on Monday, October 18, Saverio Martiradonna, of Eagle Ridge Financial Services in Glen Ellyn, will present the program The Savvy Social Security Planner. YOUTH SERVICES:
It's Teen Read Week: Books with Beat at Your Library. From now through Saturday, students in grades 6-12 can earn tickets to be entered in a drawing for movie tickets and an IPod: play a special computer game in Youth Services and/or attend one (or both) of the special programs:

Ever wanted to try your hand at a CSI-type investigation of a crime? Then you might enjoy working with Officer Thomas from the Elk Grove Police Department as he presents a "hands-on" approach to gathering evidence on Monday, October 18, at 7 p.m. in Kids Korner at Cops on the Beat. Are you more musically inclined? Then join our own Richie Sandberg as he demonstrates some techniques of using a drum set in a band on Thursday, October 21, at 7 p.m., at Beat It! There will even be opportunities to try some hands-on drumming. Register online.
