LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JANUARY 24-30

ADULT SERVICES:
Super Healthy Super Bowl Foods--is it possible? Join Tatiyana Piper from Whole Foods on Monday, January 24, at 7 p.m., for some delicious, healthy alternatives to the usual greasy, calorie-laden snacks often served on Super Bowl Sunday. Register online.

There are still openings for the Computer Class Internet Basics scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, at 9:15 a.m. Learn about toolbars, urls, web protocol, and more. Register online.

The bus trip to see Swing on a Star, featuring music of the "Swing" era, will be leaving at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26. The performance at the Fireside Theater in Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, will be preceded by a special dinner. More details online. $85 tickets can be purchased at the Circulation Desk.

Ice Sculptor Dan Rebholz will return on Saturday, January 29, at 2 p.m., to create one of his fabulous works on the patio outside the front entrance. There will even be refreshments. The event is part of the kick-off for the Adult Winter Reading Program, Great Art Caper. Qualify to win a special prize by reading 3 books.
Registration for the program begins on January 29.

YOUTH SERVICES:
There are still openings in the various Winter Programs offered in Youth Services. Register online.

The Chicago Wolves Read to Succeed Winter Reading Program begins Saturday, January 29, at 9:30 a.m. Earn prize tickets for every 30 minutes of reading done. There will be weekly prizes and end-of-the-program prizes. On this Opening Day only, there will be a special "raffle" for children who sign up. 3 Wolves' Replica Jerseys will be awarded. Also, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dr. Gesundheit will be roaming around doing tricks and comedy.
