ADULT SERVICES:
It's here at last! Summer Reading starts Monday, June 13. The Adult program is Dewey's Cruise Crew. Read 5 books to earn a special T-shirt. Every EGVPL book read between June 13 and August 28, including the first 5, earns a chance to enter a special end-of-the-program prize drawing. Sign up at the SS READALOT (aka Adult Reference Desk) starting June 13.

As part of the opening day festivities, Ainsworth Rose's Jamaican One Man Band will be performing on June 13 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

IDES will be hosting the monthly workshop Effective Resumes, Interviewing and Job Search Techniques on Monday, June 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Learn ways to search for jobs and prepare for interviews. Opportunities to take part in mock interviews will be included. Register online.

At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, the film The Dilemma, starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James will be shown in the Large Meeting Room--a man discovers his best friend's wife may be having an affair and has to decide whether or not to tell hm about his suspicions. Rated PG-13.

YOUTH SERVICES:
The themes for Youth Services' Summer Reading Program this year are One World, Many Stories for Read-to-Me and Reader levels and Novel Destinations for Young Adults. Prizes are earned for minutes read. The fifth prize will be a special t-shirt. All participants who earn the shirt will also we able to attend a special program in August starring the Truly Remarkable Loon. All who sign up at the Youth Services desk on the first day (Monday, June 13) will receive a special prize. There will also be weekly raffles. The program ends July 29.

Don't forget to sign up for Thursday crafts, Young Adult crafts, Babysitting instruction, and the Chess classes and tournament. They are filling up fast. There will also be drop-in storytimes and special Friday morning performances starting next week.
