LIBRARY HAPPENINGS SEPTEMBER 12-18

ADULT SERVICES:
The monthly workshop Effective Resumes, Interviewing and Job Search Techniques will be held on Monday, September 12, starting at 9:30 a.m. Sponsored by IDES, it is designed to give job seekers skills needed to find and get suitable jobs. A mock interview will be included in the workshop. For more information, call Jill Derkits. Register online.

The 2010 re-imagining of Shakespeare's The Tempest, starring Helen Mirren as "Prospera", will be shown on Thursday, September 15, at 7 p.m., in the Large Meeting Room. Rated PG-13. No tickets are needed.

The Friends of the Library will be holding a Mini-booksale on Friday, September 16, from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday, September 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. VHS tapes and Little Golden Books will be highlighted.

YOUTH SERVICES:
Storytimes start this week. Drop-in programs (no pre-registration needed) include Baby Tales on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. and Twilight Tales on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for children ages 6 months to 2 1/2. Alphabet Soup on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. is for children 2 1/2 through Kindergarten, emphasizing letters, numbers and colors. On Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., Family Storytime will return with programs for all ages.

Registration is needed for Getting Ready to Read--Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m.--for children ages 3 1/2 and up, and Science and More--Tuesdays or Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.--for 1st graders and up.
