LIBRARY HAPPENINGS OCTOBER 3-9

ADULT SERVICES:
The Whistling Season by Ivan Doig will be discussed by the Morning Book Group on Tuesday, October 4, at 10:30 a.m.--a man looks back on his education in a one-room rural school in early 20th century Montana. For more information, call Chris Mika at extension 272.

A Flu Clinic will be held on Wednesday, October 5, from 5-8 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room. This is for Elk Grove Village residents only, ages 19 and up. The cost is $20. Medicare will be billed for eligible participants. For more information, call Jill Dirkets at extension 226.

YOUTH SERVICES:
It's Firefighter Story Times this week. Instead of Ready to Read, Alphabet Soup, and Family Story Time, the times for these programs will be turned over to representatives of the Elk Grove Fire Department--depending on their availability-- for related stories, demonstrations of fire safety, and a look at firefighting equipment and protective gear. For this special week, the story times will be drop-in, not just open to registered children, and for all ages. The times will be:
Tuesday, October 4, at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 5, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Thursday, October 6, at 10 a.m.
