LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JANUARY 23-29

ADULT SERVICES:
The Adult Winter Reading Program, Madame Reada's Traveling Gypsy Bookwagon, begins on Monday, January 23 and lasts until March 18.  Participants only need to read three books to be eligible for a prize drawing at the end of the program.  Also, on Monday only, patrons who sign up can make an appointment for a personal Tarot Reading from 10-11:30 a.m. or from 7-8:30 p.m.

On Thursday, January 26, at 7 p.m., a special program, Discover Chinese Culture & Celebrate Chinese New Year,  will be presented by Dr. Sen Yung of Chicago.  The Year of the Dragon starts this week and Dr. Yung will help celebrate with a review of Chinese history and culture, some performance previews of the Shen Yun Performing Arts Show (Classical Chinese Dance), and a tea ceremony.  Register online.  For more information, call Jill Derkits at extension 226.
