REMINDER: The Library will be closing today at 1 p.m. and will be closed all day Tuesday, January 1.  Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, January 2, at 9 a.m.

ADULT SERVICES:
e-Reader classes continue this week on Wednesday, January 2, Thursday, January 3, and Saturday, January 5--three sessions each day, one each for iPad, Nook, and Kindle.  See the online calendar for times.  No registration is needed, just bring your library card and your e-reader.

YOUTH SERVICES:
On Wednesday, January 2, at 11 a.m., the comedic magician and balloon artist Smarty Pants  will be performing in the large Meeting Room.  No tickets are needed.  Seating is limited, however, so strollers will not be allowed in the room.  All ages are welcome.

The film Ice Age: Continental Drift will be shown in the Large Meeting Room on Thursday, January 3, at 11 a.m.  No tickets are needed.  Rated PG.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, January 4, Measner Magic will perform amazing illusions using animals and audience members.  All ages are welcome, but the Large Meeting Room has limited capacity so strollers cannot be admitted to the room.  No tickets are needed.

Registration begins Saturday, January 5, for Spring classes Science and More and Getting Ready to Read.  All classes start the week of January 14.

The Wolves Reading Program kicks off on Saturday, January 12.  Children who sign up this day only will get a chance to win a replica jersey.

LIBRARY HAPPENINGS DECEMBER 17-23

The Library will be open regular hours through Sunday, December 23.  It will be closed all day on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day--Monday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 25.  Regular hours resume Wednesday, December 26.

Ever wonder what happened to Ralphie from A Christmas StoryA Christmas Story 2  just might be the answer.  This sequel will be shown on Monday, December 17, at 7 p.m., in the Large Meeting Room.  This time the dream present is a car.  Rated PG.  No tickets are needed.

LIBRARY HAPPENINGS DECEMBER 10-16

ADULT SERVICES:
The Friends will be having a Mini-sale of popular fiction, holiday books for all ages, stuffed animals, and more on Monday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lobby.

The monthly job-seekers workshop presented by IDES-- Effective Resumes, Interviewing and Job Search Techniques--is scheduled for Monday, December 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Tips on where to look for jobs, writing an effective resume, and being interviewed will be covered.  There will even be an opportunity to participate in a mock interview.  Register online.

Poinsettia Napkin Rings will be made on Monday, December 10, at 7 p.m., for Holiday Craft Night Out.  There will also be music and snacksRegister online.

The Legacy Girls will be performing holiday favorites and standards from the 40's and 50"s on Wednesday, December 12, at 7 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.  No tickets are needed.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Debra Delaney of Memorable Entertaining will be back on Thursday, December 13, at 7 p.m. for Holiday Entertaining.  Get great "stress-free" ideas for setting a beautiful table with elegant centerpieces and more.  Register online.

Game Night is back on Friday, December 14, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.  Play games after-hours on PCs, Wii, Playstation, and xBox360.   Table-top games will also be available.  Teams or solo players are welcome, ages 12 and up.  Attendees under 17 must have written parental permission.  For more information and to sign up, call Josh at extension  282.

YOUTH SERVICES:
 The Cookie Decorating class for Young Adults--grades 6-12--on Wednesday, December 12, at 6:30 p.m., has a few openings left.  Paint, sprinkle, and manipulate fondant icing to make unique cookie creations.  Register online.
