The library is renovating!
When / Where
Beginning Monday, January 29, 2018, the Library will undergo interior renovations near Adult Services.
We expect it will be noisier than usual during this time. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Periodicals / IT Staff Relocated
Due to this endeavor, Periodicals and IT monitor staff will be temporarily relocated.
Periodicals staff will be stationed at the Adult Services Reference Desk with Adult Services librarians.
IT staff will be located outside the Quiet Study Room. Their new, temporary number is (847) 439-0447 x223.
Copy machines and fax machine will be situated by the Adult Reference Desk.
Newspapers from 3 months current will be filed near the back windows in Adult Services.
Back issues of magazines will not be available.
Large Meeting Room Closed
The Large Meeting Room will be temporarily unavailable during renovation. As a result, there will be a decrease in some programming, particularly the Annual Used Book Sale.
Typically taking place in February, the Annual Book Sale will not be held this year. Instead, the Friends of the Library will hold mini sales in the lobby. Join us for the next book sale Saturday-Tuesday, March 10-13 and snag a deal on DVDs, nature and outdoors, pets, Easter, and more items!
Group Study Room Closed
Starting Thursday, March 1, the Group Study Room will be unavailable. It will begin its transformation into an audio/visual recording studio, which will be a part of our new Makerspace in Adult Services.
