Celebrate Autism Awareness at the Library

Libraries and autism. We're connected!

April is National Autism Awareness Month. Join the Elk Grove Village Public Library all month long, April 1 - 30, to promote the cause and support the autism community.

How? Stop by the Youth Services Reference Desk for a pin or a wristband to wear to show your support.

Grab a pin or wristband to support autism!

We'll also have a display in the lobby with materials, resources, books, and movies for the occasion. Just look for the Autism Awareness sticker!

The Library strives to create a welcoming space - both physical and virtual - for people of all abilities. Even after Autism Awareness month is over, we'll keep catering to the autism community with our many assistive services and devices, which includes adapted books, noise-cancelling headphones, sensory kits, and more. Visit our website for a complete list of our assistive services.
