Elk Grove Village Library Goes Fines Free this Summer

What?
Have fines on your library card? Want to wipe them clean? Now you can because the Elk Grove Village Public Library is waiving fines this summer!

How?
All you have to do is bring a liquid-type soap item to the library as a donation to the Elk Grove Village Food Pantry.

For every soap donation you make, we will waive $1 off of existing fines. Donations can include hand soaps, shampoo, dish soap, facial tissue, and paper towels.

Additionally, the library will waive $3 off of fines for every laundry detergent donation (up to $25 in existing fines). Sealed items only, please.

When?

The program will start on June 1, 2019 and end on August 31, 2019.

Note: This program is available for all library card holders. Lost, damaged, and collection fees can not be waived.

Fines Free Summer Program

In addition to the Wipe Your Fines Clean program, we're going completely fines free this summer from June 1 to August 31, 2019 to celebrate our 60th anniversary. Have a book that's overdue? No worries, no fines!

Note: This program is available for Elk Grove Village Public Library card holders, only. Cardholders from other libraries cannot participate in the Fines Free Summer program. Lost, damaged, and collection fees can not be waived.
