LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JULY 12-18

ADULT SERVICES:
The monthly workshop for job seekers held by IDES, Effective Resumes, Interviewing & Job Search Techniques, will be Monday, July 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mock interviews for practice will be part of the program. Register online.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., also on Monday, the Friends will be hosting a Mini Book Sale in the Lobby.

On Tuesday, July 13, the film Extraordinary Measures, starring Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford, will be shown at 7 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room. Based on a true story, the film documents the search of a father seeking a cure for his afflicted children. Rated PG.

Maximize Your Travel Dollars with Smart Packing Tips will be presented by Katie Kalsted from Mayflower Tours at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 15. Discover how and what to effectively pack for travel with airline restrictions in mind. Register online.

On Sunday, July 18, the annual Ice Cream Social will be held outside--weather permitting--from 2-4 p.m. Once again the popular classic '50s/'60s rock group The Meteors will perform. Ice cream treats will be sold for $.50. The Friends will also be holding a Mini Book Sale.

YOUTH SERVICES:
Magician Randy Bernstein will be teaching a workshop for children in grades 6-8 called Do You Believe in Magic? on Monday July 12, from 7-8 p.m. Learn slight-of-hand, card tricks, and more. Register online.

In this week's Thursday craft sessions Mrs M. and Amanda will be helping participants make a classic yarn octopus. The morning sessions have Waiting Lists, but there are openings in both afternoon sessions. Register online.
