LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JULY 19-25

ADULT SERVICES:
Scott Sanders will be presenting An Introduction to Computers on Monday, July 19, at 7 p.m. Aimed at patrons who have never used a computer before or who are still beginners, the class will cover basic information and usage. Register online. There is currently a very short Waiting List.

On Tuesday, July 20, the Evening Book Group will meet in Kids Korner South at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the popular Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows--recollections of life in Nazi-occupied Guernsey in World War II as expressed in letters. On Friday, July 23, a bus trip is planned to Wisconsin to visit the Boerner Botanical Gardens and Arboretum to explore their "English Country Manor" gardens. Then a visit to nearby Greendale for shopping and the Reiman Publications Visitor Center, where Taste of Home and Reminisce are published. Finally, a Friday Night Fish Fry Dinner will be enjoyed at the Harmony Inn in Greendale. Tickets are $67 and can be obtained at the Circulation Desk.

YOUTH SERVICES:
The Shedd Aquarium Outreach returns this Monday, July 20, at 2 p.m. for the final program of the series, Coral Reef: Feeding Frenzy. Interest level would be for ages 5-11. No registration is needed.

Nationally known performer Carole Peterson and guitarist Alvin McGovern will present their program Macaroni Soup! Sing-along! Dance-along! Do-along! at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 23. This program is for children ages 6 and under; an adult must accompany preschoolers. Older siblings are also welcome. No registration is required.
