LIBRARY HAPPENINGS AUGUST 1-7

ADULT SERVICES:
Although the Children's Summer Reading has ended, the Adult program, Dewey's Cruise Crew continues until August 28. Participants only have to read (or view) 5 items from 5 different categories to earn the official t-shirt. Register at the Adult Reference Desk, aka the SS READALOT.

On Monday, August 1, at 7 p.m., Scott Sanders will present a program on the popular free e-mail service, Gmail. Learn how to set up an account and how to take advantage of its special services. Register online.

The Morning Book Group will meet this coming Tuesday, August 2, at 10:30 a.m., to discuss The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows--a fictional epistolary novel looking back on the Nazi occupation of the Isle of Guernsey in WW II and the ways the inhabitants coped (or didn't) with the wartime situation. For more information, call Chris Mika at extension 272.

YOUTH SERVICES:
The Final drawing for the SRP raffle will be on Monday, August 1, at 11 a.m. Even though the program is "officially" over, participants can still collect prizes for the next week (or 2+). The SRP Finishers (earned a t-shirt) can attend the special programs featuring comedic juggler T.R. Loon on Wednesday, August 3, at 7 p.m., or on Thursday, August 4, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or 7 p.m.

At 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the postponed Chess Tournament for children in grades k-8 will be held. Children do not have to have taken the classes. Register online.
