LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JULY 25-31

ADULT SERVICES:
Mastering Cash Management: Key to Survival and Success will be the topic for the program to be presented by a representative from SCORE on Monday, July 25, at 7 p.m. Ways to use financial tools for the success of a small business will be discussed. Register online.

From 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, the Kenneth Young Center will be sponsoring an Open House showcasing a Unique Collection of Assistive Devices in the Lobby. The latest developments for persons with various types of impairments will be available for examination.

Professional computer technicians Eric Brodsky and Mark Klocksin will show patrons how to Tune Up Your Computer on Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. They will "review Hardware (adding memory and parts replacement), Software (adding and removing programs and features, spyware and antivirus protection), and Hard Drive maintenance". Register online.

Join other Library patrons for a "Bus" Trip on The South Shore Electric on Thursday, July 28, from 7 a.m. (yes, it's very early!) to 5 p.m. Trippers will board the South Shore Electric at Millenium Park and travel for just over an hour to Dune Park Station in Indiana. Then on the bus, they will visit the Indiana Dunes, the Barker Mansion in Michigan City, and, finally, the Heston Supper Club for dinner. Tickets are $79 and can be purchased at the Circulation Desk.

YOUTH SERVICES:
On Monday, July 25, at 2 p.m., BMX trick rider Matt Wilhelm will perform in the Library Parking Lot. This is a free event. All ages are welcome.

Travel back in time with the Kidsworks Touring Theatre Company as they present The Pharaoh, The Sphinx, and The Curse of the Mummy on Friday, July 29, at 11 a.m. Ages 4 and up are welcome, but preschoolers must come with an adult. No tickets are needed.

This is the final week for the Youth Services Summer Reading Program. There is still time to sign up. The final weekly raffle will be on Monday, August 1.
