LIBRARY HAPPENINGS JUNE 17-23

ADULT SERVICES:
On Monday, June 17, at 7 p.m., the recent remake of Les Miserables, the musical version, will be shown in the Large Meeting Room.  Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Anne Hathaway, the film follows 19th century Frenchman Jean Valjean as he tries to elude a dogged policeman over many years.  Rated PG-13.  No tickets are needed.

 YOUTH SERVICES:
Summer Story Times begin this week.  Mondays at 10 is Baby Tales for children ages 6 months to 2 1/2.  At 11 on Mondays, children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 are invited to Alphabet Soup for letter related stories and crafts.  Tuesday Storytime, at 10 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m., will provide activities for children ages 3 1/2 to Kindergarten.  On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. there will be Family Storytime for all ages.  All of these classes are drop-in; no registration is needed.

On Friday, June 21, Janet Riehecky will be bringing fossils and replica dinosaur bones to the Dinosaur Encounter programs at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  No tickets are needed, but because of space limitations no strollers will be allowed in the room.  Preschoolers must come with an adult.

There are still openings for the Young Adult program--6th grade to 12th grade children--, the Frank Lloyd Wright Origami Workshop, from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.  A representative from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation will demonstrate basic folds of origami to create architectural inspired art pieces.  Register online.
