LIBRARY HAPPENINGS DECEMBER 5-11

ADULT SERVICES:
The Morning Book Group will be discussing Jean Shepherd's classic holiday book A Christmas Story on Tuesday, December 6, at 10:30 a.m. The book is a collection of short humorous autobiographical vignettes, many of which were used as a basis for the now-classic film. The Oriental Theater in Chicago is the destination of the next Bus Trip, scheduled for Wednesday, December 7. The $71 tickets include the transportation (leaving at 5:45 p.m.), a "Brown-Bag dinner", and balcony seats for Donny and Marie--Christmas in Chicago . The Friends of the Library will be having a mini-book sale in the Lobby on Friday, December 9, from 3-7 p.m., and on Saturday, December 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Holiday items will be included.

The monthly Game Night is scheduled for Friday, December 9, from 7-10 p.m. Play Wii, Playstation, X-box, Pc games, board games, and more in teams or solo. Pizza and pop will be provided. Register at the Adult Services Desk (call extension 271). Participants must be at least 12; if the participant is under 17, written parental permission is required.

YOUTH SERVICES:
Four sessions of the Preschool Holiday Craft are scheduled for this week. There are still openings for the Tuesday (December 6) classes at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., as well as for the Thursday (December 8) 10 a.m. class. The Wednesday (December 7) class at 7 p.m. currently has a Waiting List. Register online.
