Curbside Pickup is here!

The Elk Grove Village Public Library is happy to announce that you can now check out new books and other library materials, even though our physical building is closed to the public.
To maintain social distancing, the Library is providing contactless, curbside pickup of materials by appointment beginning Saturday, June 13.
Curbside Pickup is for Elk Grove Village Library cardholders only, and items are limited to the Elk Grove Village Library's collection.
CURBSIDE PICKUP STEP-BY-STEP
1. REQUEST ITEMS
You can do this two ways: online through your library account or by phone. Whichever method you choose, there is a limit of 10 items per request, and Curbside Pickup is for Elk Grove Village Library cardholders only.
Online
- Visit the Library's website at www.egvpl.org
- Log into My Account with your library card number and pin
- Place holds on the items you'd like to borrow
By Phone
Call the Library at (847) 439-0447 between the following hours:
Monday - Thursday
12pm - 6pm
Saturday
10am - 3pm
Sunday
CLOSED
2. WAIT FOR NOTIFICATION
When your request is ready, you will be notified by phone, email, or text. Please do not come to the Library until you receive this notification..
3. COME TO THE LIBRARY TO COLLECT YOUR ITEMS
- Look for the signs at the curbside pickup area
- Call the Library's Curbside Pickup Hotline at (224) 281-1157
- Stay in your car while library staff place your bag on the outside bench
- Allow staff to leave the curbside pickup area completely
- Then, exit you car and retrieve the bag labeled with your name on it

We are operating with limited staff. We will fill your holds as quickly as possible, but wait times may be longer than usual. Thank you for your patience.
Staff cannot accept in-person returns. Please place items in the outdoor book drop located near the Library's entrance.
We are not accepting book donations at this time.
