LIBRARY HAPPENINGS OCTOBER 17-23

ADULT SERVICES:
Bill German, founder of the historic Rolling Stones fanzine Beggars Banquet, will talk about his encounters with the famous rock group on Monday, October 17, at 7 p.m., at the program Under Their Thumb, based on his recent book. Register online.

On Thursday, October 20, the Tour Bus will be leaving at 7:45 a.m. for a guided visit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Then, after lunch at Maders German Restaurant, there will still be time for a browse through some of the shops on Old World Third Street. On the way home, there will be a stop at the Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha. $64 is the cost of the tickets, available at the Circulation desk. Winners of the Elk Grove Art Association Annual Juried Show are now available for viewing in the Large Meeting Room for the next two weeks.

YOUTH SERVICES:
This week is Teen Read Week. Students in grades 6-12 can come to the Youth Reference Desk to play a simple game on the computer to earn up to 5 chances to win a digital camera. Chances will also be given to attendees at the program on Monday, October 17, at 7 p.m., YA Craft: Flip Flap Picture Album. Register online. The winner of the camera will be chosen on Saturday, October 22, at 2 p.m.
