LIBRARY HAPPENINGS OCTOBER 23-30

ADULT SERVICES:
Are you a ghost-a-holic? Can't get enough of scary "reality"? Join Jennifer Lauer from the Southern Wisconsin Paranormal Research Group for You've Got Ghosts! Haunted Tales from the Inbox on Monday evening, October 24, at 7 p.m. She will share some of the 11,000 e-mails the group has received as well as presenting some of their responses and investigations. Register online.

On Thursday, October 27, at 7 p.m., staffer Julie Hadler will show how to do Digital Scrapbooking using Power Point. The class is full, but interested patrons can sign up for the Waiting List in case of a cancellation.

YOUTH SERVICES:
Instead of the usual Alphabet Soup, Getting Ready to Read, and Family Story Time this week, those times will be given over to the Halloween Parties and Parades. Children in preschool through kindergarten can drop in for stories, crafts, treats, and the highly anticipated parade through the Library. Attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes. The times are:
Tuesday, October 25, at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 26, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Thursday, October 27, at 10 a.m.

Tatiyana Piper from Whole Foods will be back on Tuesday, October 25, at 7 p.m., to show students in grades 6-12 a Freaky Feast. Learn how to make "frightfully delicious treats" for Halloween--and sample them as well. Register online.

Chess Instruction
begins again on Saturday, October 29. Beginners can learn about the basics at 1 p.m. and more advanced players can learn more at 2:15 p.m. For children in grades k-8. There are 3 weeks of classes and a tournament on the fourth week which is open to any student in grades k-8, even if they have not attended the classes. Register online
