Through April 28, it's Money Smart Week, sponsored by the Chicago Federal Reserve and the American Library Association. This nationwide program is designed to help consumers manage their personal finances.


ADULT SERVICES: On Monday, April 23, representatives from Morningstar will show patrons how to use the Morningstar Investment Research Center, available on the Library website, to help manage their investments. Register online, or call Adult Services at extension 272.

Charge it Right--How to Make Credit Cards Work for You will be discussed by a representative from the Elk Grove Village Bank and Trust, covering the advantages--and disadvantages--of credit cards. Make them work FOR you. Register online or call Adult Services at extension 272.

MBA Sherry Ridge will present a Budgeting 101 Workshop on Saturday, April 28, at 9:30 a.m. Learn techniques to make a realistic budget and even eliminate some debt in this challenging economic time period. Register online or call Adult Services at extension 272.


YOUTH SERVICES:
Drop in to Youth Services on Tuesday, April 24, or Thursday, April 26, from 9:30-11 a.m., for Ask an Expert How to Raise Money Smart Kids. Elk Grove Financial Advisor Cheri Dial will be available to answer any questions on teaching children about money.
