Elk Grove Village Library Closing Early for 2023 Summer Concerts

CLOSING DATES AND TIMES

Due to the Village's Mid-Summer Classic Concert Series, the Library will close early at 5pm on the following dates in 2023:

• Tuesday, July 11
• Tuesday, July 25
• Tuesday, August 1
  

PARKING INFORMATION

The Library's Wellington Avenue entrance by the clock tower and along the Village Green will close at 2pm. Vehicles may remain parked in the entrance lot after 2pm, but must exit through the shopping center (Elk Grove Town Center) by the fountain (Fountain Square Park).

Both the Library's front entrance and back/south parking lots will close at 5pm. All vehicles must be removed before 5pm. Again, please exit through the shopping center. The Library's parking lot is accessible after 5pm only for handicapped parking during the concerts.

Can't find a spot during library hours? Additional parking is available across the street at the Pavilion and in the old Dominick's parking lot. The Library's back lot is accessible through the shopping center (Elk Grove Town Center) by the fountain (Fountain Square Park).

As a courtesy to our patrons, library materials will not be due on concert days.

Library Building Open Only for Voting on Election Day November 3, 2020

 

The General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. In an effort to protect the health and safety of the public, the Elk Grove Village Library will be open from 6am to 7pm as a polling place only. The Library will be closed for all other public services.

This decision is in response to the General Assembly of the State of Illinois' amendment of the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act, which applies to the year 2020 only.

Library Closed for Fourth of July and Parking Lot Repairs

 
Library Hours for Fourth of July
The Library will be closed all day on THURSDAY, JULY 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. No library materials will be due at this time. We will reopen to regular hours on Friday, July 5 at 9am - 7pm.

Parking Lot Closure and Repairs
In addition, the parking lots at the Elk Grove Village Public Library will be under repair on Thursday, July 4, subject to weather conditions. All parking lots will be closed off on this day and will not be accessible. Please do not park in or pass through the lots during this time.

Memorial Day Hours and Parking Lot Repairs

The Library will be closed all day on Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. No library materials will be due during this time. We will reopen to regular hours on Tuesday, May 28 at 9am - 10pm.

Early Closings for Village Concert Series 2018

Due to the Village's Mid-Summer Classic Concert Series, the library will close early at 5pm on Tuesdays, July 10, July 17, July 24, and July 31.

The Library's north parking lot off of Wellington Avenue will close at 2pm. All vehicles parked at the entrance lot must be relocated to another location before 2pm.

Additional parking is available across the street at the Pavilion and in the old Dominick's parking lot.

Parking will still be available in the Library's back lot until 5pm in the library's back lot. It can be accessed through the shopping center (Elk Grove Town Center) by the fountain (Fountain Square Park).

Computer Labs Closed

On Tuesday, October 27 we will be upgrading our current reservation software on the Internet computers and print stations located in the Adult Computer Lab and the Youth Computer Lab.
